Auto Desk, New Delhi. Hyundai has started teasing the Creta Facelift and it is scheduled to be unveiled on January 16. Interested customers can book it by paying a token amount of Rs 25 thousand. Creta facelift will come with some major changes in the exterior as well as the interior. The brand has presented a glimpse of it.
The Hyundai Creta was first introduced in India in July 2015. The fact that every third mid-size SUV sold in India is now a Hyundai Creta attests to its enormous popularity. Over 950,000 SUVs have been sold in the domestic market as of today.
Hyundai’s global design philosophy of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ is applied to the 2024 Creta facelift. The new grille is accompanied by reworked quad-beam LED headlights. New LED positioning lamps have been installed, and the DRLs are linked by an LED strip. The taillights are a connected unit that mimics the front LED DRL setup. The front and back bumpers have also been updated. The vehicle also features new alloy wheels. The SUV’s appearance has been significantly altered.
Even inside the cabin, there are considerable upgrades, the most noticeable of which are an integrated infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster. A new touch display is used to control HVAC operations, adding to the premium feel. The new Creta facelift also includes a revised steering wheel. While the SUV comes standard with six airbags, the top-spec models include an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
The new Hyundai Creta is available with four transmissions: a 6-speed manual, an intelligent variable transmission (IVT), a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) and a 6-speed automatic gearbox (AT).
Among others, the new Hyundai Creta facelift will compete with the Kia Seltos facelift, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the incoming Tata Curvv. The 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift price is expected to be between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
