Marathi Bhasha Divas was celebrated By conducting a rally in St Anthony’s High School, Dharavi : Today, on February 27th, we celebrate Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din (Marathi Language Pride Day), a day dedicated to honoring and cherishing the rich heritage and vibrant spirit of the Marathi language. This is distinct from Marathi Rajbhasha Din (Marathi Official Language Day) observed on May 1st.
Marathi boasts a long and illustrious history, with its roots tracing back to around 900 AD. It is spoken by over 83 million people worldwide, primarily in the Indian state of Maharashtra, where it holds the status of the official language.

On this joyous occasion, St Anthony’s High School, Dharavi commemorated this wonderful personality and Marathi Bhasha Divas by holding a rally across Dharavi to raise awareness of this great poet as well as the richness of Marathi language. Many cultural activities were performed to emphasise the events.
