Motorola unveiled India’s first no-compromiseMotorola has introduced the Moto G34 5G smartphone in India today, as planned. The main lesson is that Motorola appears to be beating the Redmis and Realmes at their own game with what is likely the country’s first “truly affordable 5G” phone, with little discernible sacrifice. Everything from the design to the display, CPU selection, cameras, and software experience appears to be more expensive. But it doesn’t.

Moto G34 5G India Price and Availability

The Moto G34 5G is available in two variants: 4GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB, which cost Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively. Motorola says it would offer an additional Rs 1,000 off on exchange, so the Moto G34 5G may be purchased for Rs 9,999 or Rs 10,999 if you go that route. Moto G34 5G a first look at design, features, and specs

Motorola is focusing more on the phone’s design than anything else. Given that it is a budget phone, the Moto G34 exudes a sense of premium, with consumers able to pick between luxurious “vegan leather” and 3D acrylic glass (PMMA). It is also light on the pocket, weighing just under 180g and measuring only 7.98mm. The chassis is water-resistant up to IP52 standards.

On the front, you’ll discover a 6.5-inch LCD display with 720p resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. In high brightness (HBM) mode, the panel can reach a maximum of 580 nits and is covered by Panda Glass. A hole punch cutout in the centre houses a 16-megapixel f/2.4 camera for selfies. The Moto G34 5G boasts a dual rear camera configuration with a 50-megapixel f/1.8 wide and a 2-megapixel macro.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 processor, which is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS2.2 storage that can be expanded by additional 1TB via microSD card. The software that runs the show is Android 14. Motorola promises a “assured upgrade to Android 15” and up to three years of security upgrades for it.

The Moto G34 5G features a 5,000mAh battery and 20W rapid charging. It features two speakers with Dolby Atmos playback and supports 13 5G bands out of the box.
